Gerad Strong – National Director
Director of Leadership & Training at Church Multiplication Network (CMN)
National Director of Church Health (AG)
Gerad Strong serves as the National Director of Leadership & Training at the Church Multiplication Network and the National Director of Church Health for the Assemblies of God. He helps pastors launch strong churches, strengthen existing ones, and build systems that multiply impact.
Before stepping into national leadership, Gerad revitalized a church in rural South Dakota and led it to plant seven campuses in two years. He later helped plant two additional campuses at a multisite church in Dallas, Texas, experiences that shaped his conviction for multiplication and healthy leadership.
Gerad pioneered CMN One Day events, developed CMN’s Multisite training, and continues to lead church planting and multiplication intensives across the country. He is the author of The Forgotten Field and Multiplication Mindset, writing to help leaders shift their mindset, mobilize people, and build healthy, multiplying churches.
Gerad strong’s new book:
Multiplication Mindset
Multiplication Mindset isn’t another book on theory—it’s forged from the tested experience of leading churches, planting campuses, and coaching leaders across the nation. Gerad Strong has lived the lessons he writes about. From revitalizing a rural church in South Dakota to multiplying campuses in a major metro, to now equipping leaders through the Church Multiplication Network, Gerad has seen what happens when leaders trade addition thinking for multiplication thinking.
“If you’re ready to think beyond what you can build and start dreaming about what God can multiply, this book is for you.”
Mark Batterson
NYT bestselling author of The Circle Maker
This book will help you:
• Break free from the limits of addition and embrace the exponential potential of multiplication.
• Shift from doing ministry for people to empowering ministry through people.
• Develop leaders who carry vision, not just complete tasks.
• Build systems and cultures where sending becomes as natural as gathering.
Multiplication is not reserved for a few gifted churches. It’s God’s design for every church.
If you’re ready to raise leaders, release influence, and reimagine success—not by how many you can gather, but by how many you can send—this book will give you the clarity and courage to do it.

“I truly believe that God sent me an incredible gift the day I met Gerad Strong. We sensed God was calling us as a church to plant in a rural community near us through multisite. Through strategic coaching Gerad put us in a position to succeed. He helped me as the Lead Pastor in working with everything from building needs, to community engagement, to mentoring our campus pastor. I often recall the words of encouragement and prophetic prayer Gerad spoke over my life which led us to multiply as a church.”

The Forgotten Field
“Fly-over country”
That’s the term many sociologists and pundits use to describe small-town America, but Jesus has a different term: “mission field.” In the past few decades, rural areas and small towns have been squeezed by a number of powerful factors: young people moving from farms to cities, a staggering rise in drug abuse, shuttered shops along Main Streets, abandoned churches, and further isolation caused by the pandemic. Today, however, the exodus is being reversed as more people seek peace, simplicity, and security outside urban areas. Now is the time to invest our hearts and our resources in this forgotten mission field.
In this book, Gerad Strong shares the wisdom he gained by launching a multisite church strategy in his area of South Dakota. The process hasn’t been easy, but God has blessed the effort to make disciples in what seems, to many at least, “the remotest parts of the earth.” If you’re a church leader in a rural setting, this book will inspire, direct, and challenge you to believe God for greater things.
